Appendix A
This appendix selects various poems from "The Written, Spoken, And Presented Word" section of this book and attempts to add clarity as to the author’s intentional focus. This section offers information on motivation, sculpture, ideas, and overall experience or circumstance the designated poem is covering. The selected poem is denoted by title and page number below.
The Life Within (Page 2) – This poem has an evolutionary focus. First, it personifies conversation as a platform to display the knowledge that one has. It attempts to clarify what others know about you is expressed by how they interpret what comes from you. In essence, one should only open his/her mouth to enunciate his or her self as he or she wants to be interpreted. The next portion of this poem goes on to define knowledge and wisdom as God, which magnifies the first section in that it exemplifies silent questions to God on how to proceed. This in turn portrays what it means to truly have faith and walk in total dependence on God. For if we truly trust Him then our actions and emissions should speak for themselves. This pours into the final portion of this poem which separates the real from the fake in that those without true faith have a destination and those with true faith have an alternate destination. The choice is left up to you. Does God live in you?
The Bud of Life (Page 2) – This poem simply challenges one to be consciously aware of pivot points in one’s life. The use of the flower budding and blossoming simply denotes our interaction, transmission, and receptions with and from others. It further displays a vivid picture of how we should grow and mature surpassed our past and into our futures.
Nourishment (Page 2) – This poem simply says that we are all linked by God and because of that we should be able to minister and administer complementary substance to one another.
Mahogany Blessing (Page 3) – This poem addresses knowing who you are in Christ. It attempts to paint a picture of an individual interacting with others who also know who they are in Christ. This complementary relationship enables one to be fulfilled and edified as he or she works and waits for the second coming of Christ.
Two of a Kind in Mind (Page 3) – This poem simply describes what it means to the author to have the mind of Christ. It is described as complete understanding and total peace.
The Essence of Me that is You (Page 4) – This poem speaks of a man and woman making love spiritually. It is expressed as a woman’s heart being understood by a man’s mind and vice versa. It further portrays the tranquility and evolution of spiritual communication via kindred souls bonding themselves to God.
